Not just about wearing blue – Who Charlie helps

Part three of the interview with Sarah and Chris Cookson is about Who Charlie helps.

And yes I do mean Charlie.  Because without that beautiful little boy there would be no Charlie Cookson Foundation and so many families would be struggling financially at a time when there are far more important things to worry about.

Blue is the colour – Day 12

Turns out I was wrong – and I rarely admit that.  But, in South Shields at least, Spring hasn’t sprung.  So I’m back in winter clothes and as I’m still raising awareness of and funds for the Charlie Cookson Foundation I went for this long sleeved navy blue dress

12.04.16

And if you don’t think it looks like winter clothes just remember – I am a proper Geordie lass – so this is definitely part of my winter wardrobe.

Not just about wearing blue – About Charlie

Yesterday I posted the first section of an interview with Charlie’s Mam (Sarah Cookson) and Dad (Chris Cookson) and it turns out people loved it.  So as promised here’s the next bit.  This time they are talking about their son and why they set up the Charlie Cookson Foundation in his memory.

I am in complete awe of this couple and how they do what they do.  I can’t imagine the difficulties they have encountered in their lives but they are putting their experiences to such good use to help other people.

I’m so pleased I chose the Charlie Cookson Foundation as the charity I would support.  I just hope I don’t let them down.
