I’d be crazy to…

Zip wire off the Tyne Bridge: I’m not allowed to parachute or sky dive because of my MS but I think and I mean think that I will be allowed to do this.  I watched Bear Grylls do it before the Olympics and thought it was amazing so I’m going to do this to raise money for charity. Anyone want to join me.

Get a tattoo: I always swore I would never do this.  I’m scared of needles and tattoos aren’t really my style.  But so many people suggested this I thought I had to go for it.  But it will be very small and easy to hide.  I’m looking for someone to do the tattoo for free if I donate the money to charity.

Take a Burlesque dance class: This wasn’t my idea but it should be fun and should help me get fit.

Buy an item of clothing from a charity shop that isn’t my usual style and wear it: My best friend Joanne Weightman suggested this knowing I’m a bit fussy when it comes to clothes.  So I’ll give it a shot and see how it goes.

Register for police ID parade: Well someone has to do it so it may as well be me.

Go dancing in the rain: Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass it’s about learning to dance in the rain and with the British weather it shouldn’t be too hard to do. I’m looking for 50 people to join, pay £1 for charity and turn run it into a party

Go on a blind date: I’ve dated a few men in my time, been married and got divorced but my track record says I’m not that good at picking them.  So now it’s time for someone else to give it try and I don’t mean internet dating or personal ads.  I mean a proper blind date so for this one I’m really going to need some help.

Swim in the Fairy Pools of Skye: They’re miles from anywhere, difficult to get to and apparently really, really cold but they are incredibly beautiful and peaceful and I love swimming so this is a once in a lifetime must.

Sleep under the stars: I’ve been camping and hated it but this is different but hopefully I can do it somewhere hot.

Go blonde for a day, week or month: I’ve had dark hair all my life, ok it’s going grey now, but it’s always been dark.  If I’m honest I think I’ll look ridiculous with blonde hair and I’m not going to harm my hair by dying it.  But as they say blondes have all the fun I’m going to give it a go by buying and wearing a blonde wig.  I know it’s not quite the same but I will wear it in public for at least a full day so it’s got to be worth something.

Invest in the stock market: I don’t have a lot of money so have never really been one to gamble and lets be fair the stock market is a gamble.  So I’m going to set aside £100, not a lot I know, but if I get lucky I’ll make a bit of a profit and give it all to charity

Take up Laughter Yoga and laugh every day: I hadn’t heard of this until recently.  I’ve never done Yoga but this looks different and after the year I’ve had I really need to learn to relax and laugh a bit more.  You can find out more here or why not come and join me when I get started.

Go on a road trip: Three words ‘Thelma and Louise’

Fire walk: The idea of this terrifies me but it must be an amazing feeling to do something that seems impossible and I’m going to raise money for charity by doing it.  Watch out I’ll be looking for sponsors.
