Blue is the colour – Day 17

Tomorrow is #wearblueforcharlie day at work.  We’re having a cake and book sale as well

Blue for Charlie for websiteSo today I’m making cakes.  And we all know how hot and messy that can get.  So I needed to wear something cool and comfortable to make sure I do my best to raise the most amount of money possible for the Charlie Cookson Foundation.

So no make up, hair tied up (yes I know this is scary and I look about 105 but needs must), a pair of white crop pants (I hardly every wear trousers) and a blue vest top.

17.04.16So at least I’ll stay cool even if I don’t look it.

Blue is the colour – Day 16

Unbelievably it was snowing when I woke up this morning.  The middle of April, well into spring and we get snow.

With few blue winter clothes left I had add thick black tights and a cardigan to this blue, heart patterned summer dress fit for purpose and still #wearblueforcharlie

16.04.16

But on a more positive note the cold weather did give me the perfect opportunity to spend a ‘movie’ afternoon watching Star Wars with my lovely Grandson

16.04.16 - Ruben

And as he wore a jumper with a pair of blue boots on the front I’ll donate and extra £1 to the Charlie Cookson Foundation for him.

Blue is the colour – Day 15

After the success of yesterday’s dress – it’s not every day I get asked out by a stranger (I can’t actually remember the last time I got asked out at all) – deciding what to wear today was never going to be easy.  After all whatever I wear that’s unlikely to happen again.

But I needed to cheer myself up and #wearblueforcharlie.  So I went back to the things in my wardrobe I haven’t worn for a while.  And I came up with this navy and cream lacey dress.

15.04.16

I loved it when I got it.  But unfortunately I’ve looked a bit like beached whale in it for quite some time so gave up on wearing it.  And you know – I don’t think it looks to bad now.  I know I’m never going to be a size 10 again (wouldn’t be good for the wrinkles anyway) but at least is shows I’m heading in the right direction.

So that’s me feeling quite happy and another £1 for the Charlie Cookson Foundation.
