Not just about wearing blue – About Charlie

Yesterday I posted the first section of an interview with Charlie’s Mam (Sarah Cookson) and Dad (Chris Cookson) and it turns out people loved it.  So as promised here’s the next bit.  This time they are talking about their son and why they set up the Charlie Cookson Foundation in his memory.

I am in complete awe of this couple and how they do what they do.  I can’t imagine the difficulties they have encountered in their lives but they are putting their experiences to such good use to help other people.

I’m so pleased I chose the Charlie Cookson Foundation as the charity I would support.  I just hope I don’t let them down.

Blue is the colour – Day 2

I’m wearing Blue for Charlie every day in April.

Today I’m not doing much, just tidying up and sorting the house out so I thought this old blue dress would be perfect and means another £1 for the Charlie Cookson Foundation.

Want to joint in.  Wear Blue for Charlie today and donate £1 at www.justgiving.com/5iftyby5ifty

I'll be wearing blue every day this month

Blue is the colour – Day 1

Blue is my favourite colour.  Which is just as well as I’m going to wear it every day this month.  I’m doing this as part of the Wear Blue for Charlie campaign to raise funds for the Charlie Cookson Foundation.

Wear blue for Charlie

Every day I will donate £1 and post a photo of my outfit which will include something blue on this blog.  But anyone who knows me will know that just wearing blue is to easy for me so I’ve set myself another challenge…………

I’ll wear a different something blue everyday. And if I don’t then I’ll donate an extra £1 to the Charlie Cookson Foundation.  Now I’m not made of money so won’t be able to buy lots of new things to wear so by the end of the month I may well be wearing some strange clothes that don’t seem to fit the occasion.  But at least it should be fun.

Today’s something blue is…………….

This is one of my favourite blue dresses.  I’ve had it quite a while and didn’t wear it much until recently but now it’s a pretty regular feature so I thought it would be a great one to start with.

Who else is Wearing Blue for Charlie

When I go back to work next week I’m going to try to organise a Wear Blue for Charlie Day which will hopefully raise a bit more money.

If you want to join in and Wear Blue for Charlie please donate your £ at www.justgiving.com/5iftyby5ifty.  And please encourage others to do the same by uploading your photo’s to Facebook or Twitter.  Don’t forget to share your post with me at https://www.facebook.com/5iftyby5ifty/ or tweet your pictures to @angelahamilton8
