Blue is the colour – Day 5

After yesterday’s all navy outfit I wanted something a bit brighter today for my pledge to Wear Blue for Charlie every day in April.  So I decided to go for something that’s not all blue and has lots of different shades of blue.

I bought this dress a few months ago and only wore it once because I really didn’t feel comfortable in it so I was taking a bit of a risk.

But it turns out that the weight I’ve lost as part of my Winners Lose challenge (also to raise money for the Charlie Cookson Foundation) is beginning to show and I don’t think I look too bad.

Feel free to disagree if you think I look a bit like mutton dressed as lamb but please don’t be too horrible – after all this is all for charity.

Winners lose – Week 10

After sleeping in for work – I forgot to reset my alarm after two weeks on leave – and having a slight wardrobe malfunction (find out more here) I almost forgot it was weigh-in day.

When I finally remembered to jump on the scales it was without any trepidation, hope or expectation.  I just need to know how much I weighed.

And the result is………

Another 3lb lost and another £3 for charity

Another 3lb lost and another £3 for charity

Another 3 pound lost. That’s a total of 19lb in just 10 weeks and more than I could have hoped for after last weeks weight gain.  Only 9 pound to go to reach my target of 2 stone by my birthday, which isn’t until August.  And of course another £3 for the Charlie Cookson Foundation.

So while I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to dieting I must be doing something right so I’m just going to keep on going.

If you’re impressed with my success you can add to my £’s for pounds at www.justgiving.com/5iftyby5ifty

Blue is the colour – Day 4

I’m Wearing Blue for Charlie every day in April.

Today I’m back to work after two weeks holiday and new I needed to look at least reasonably smart.  So after dropping the outfit I planned to wear in the bath (don’t ask but let’s just say I was too lazy to iron it) I had to trawl through my wardrobe for something to wear that didn’t need ironing.

I decided on this classic Navy Blue dress which I thought was pretty smart

Then I added my Navy Blue shoes

Even down to the shoes

But when I looked in the mirror it all felt a bit dowdy for what is supposed to be a spring day. So decided to liven it all up with a bright yellow bag.

Add a bit of yellow for spring

Relatively happy with how I looked and knowing that was another £1 for the Charlie Cookson Foundation I set off to work with the intention of organising a Wear Blue for Charlie Day – I’ll let you know how that goes later
